JPEG vs. Raw File Formas

RAW files are a collection of data from your camera’s sensor. Unlike a JPEG file, RAW format is uncompressed and is not an image file, per se. Software like Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Lightroom allow you to view the data as images and edit the RAW files.

RAW images are larger JPEG and will fill your memory card and hard drive much faster. They just take longer to transfer from the memory card to the computer.

While the RAW image itself does not change, you can process the RAW image according to different conditions to create any number of JPEG images from it. Note that and images cannot be processed with the camera.

I would shoot RAW. Shooting RAW lets you capture colors and as many images as possible.
