Master of Photography Reflection

I choose Carleton E. Watkins because, Carleton E. Watkins was the foremost American landscape photographer of his day in my eyes. He is best remembered for his majestic images of the American West, which he took using a ‘mammoth-plate’ camera that held glass negatives the same size as this print. Carleton Watkins (1829-1916) is perhaps the most famous early western photographer. He found international fame for his award winning photographs of Yosemite, San Francisco, etc. His work has so much meaning and interesting things in the images. Carleton shot mostly landscapes. The landscapes were all mostly photos of nature and life back in his days (1865), like train tracks, beaches, views from a cliff,  and so much more.
